Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Prepare pan with baking spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, mix sugar, egg, almond extract and milk.
- Add flour mixture and blend thoroughly.
- Finally, add melted butter and stir until fully combined.
- Pour into prepared pan and bake for 40-50 minutes.
- Cool the cake completely before turning out.
- In a small bowl, blend powdered sugar, milk and vanilla to the desired consistency.
- Pour on top of the cooled cake and sprinkle with almonds.
