Smoked Salmon Rolls with Avocado and Goat Cheese

  • 6 slices smoked salmon or trout
  • 100g of fresh goat cheese
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Fresh chives
  • Poppy seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • Salt
  • Sichuan pepper

Instructions

 

  1. Cut a large sheet of cellophane paper then place it on the work surface.
  2. Place the salmon/trout slices on the cellophane paper, placing them so as to obtain a large rectangle.
  3. Make a line with the cheese on the bottom of the salmon slices, like preparing a maki.
  4. Add thin slices of avocado to the cream cheese (and/or cucumber if desired). Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Gently roll using cellophane paper, tightening the roller tightly. Once rolled, rewrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours so that all the flavours can be revealed during tasting.
  6. Cut the rolls and add the seeds of your choice as well as freshly chopped chives.

Tips

  • You can mix avocado or crushed peas with fresh goat cheese
  • It is also possible to add cucumber in thin sticks
  • Serve with blinis or bread if desired
