Care of your rolling pin:
Never place your rolling pin in a dishwasher or leave it to soak in water. Water warps and cracks wood. If your rolling pins have steel bearings for easier rolling, water can make these bearings stick and rust. To clean a rolling pin, simply wipe off the dough or flour with a slightly damp cloth as soon as you’re done using it.
