Achieve gastronomic feats in the most unexpected ways with Rivsalt
Rivsalt is designed by Swedish entrepreneur and designer Jens Sandringer. With his innovation, Jens wanted to transform the rather mundane act of flavouring food into something fun – a real talking point at the dinner table. Founded in 2013, Rivsalt is all about design, communication and experience. Grate your own salt and spices with style and add to the dining experience.
Designed in Sweden and based on a Japanese concept of using a sharp grater on a block of rock salt, RIVSALT KITCHEN brings you the renowned “gastronomic experience” to your dining table. Grate the crystal-like Himalayan salt with a big and functional, yet beautiful stainless steel grater. A grand natural oak board serves as a stylish stand and easily holds up to four additional salt crystals. Rivsalt is a perfect foodie gift for those who seem to already have “everything”.
Himalayan Rock Salt
Himalayan rock salt originates from northern Pakistan, an area called the “Salt Range”, not far from the Himalayas. It is a natural rock salt that was created when the prehistoric seas evaporated some 250 million years ago. The actual salt rocks vary in colour from pure white to beautiful light pink and dramatic deep red, all depending on the iron oxide content. Flavour: Highly flavoured with long-lasting spicy heat over a mild mineral body. Ideal for: seasoning meat and fish, as well as vegetables.
Designed in Sweden.
Rivsalt refills are available separately.
