LorAnn – World-wide supplier of the finest flavourings, essential oils, and specialty ingredients since 1962.
LorAnn’s concentrated essential oils and flavourings have been an integral part of American candy making and baking for over 60 years for both the professional and the “home chef”. Often referred to as candy oils, LorAnn’s Super Strength flavour line is unsweetened, gluten-free, nut-free, and low-carb. LorAnn’s large offering of highly concentrated flavours are 3-4 times stronger than other traditional extracts on the market and can be used in a variety of delicious ways. LorAnn’s flavouring contains little or no alcohol and will handle the heat in cooking and baking better – a little goes a long way.
Super Strength Flavour
LorAnn’s super strength flavourings, are specially formulated for optimal results in hard candies, chocolates, fudges, frostings, baking and specialty confections. They are highly concentrated flavours designed to withstand the higher temperature demands of candy making, but can also be used to flavour just about anything including baked goods and frosting! This type of concentrated flavour is also referred to as candy oil, candy flavouring oil, or concentrated extract. Many of LorAnn’s super strength flavours are appropriate for use directly in chocolates, while other flavours are soluble in water. Solubility is dependent on many factors.
Use LorAnn Flavouring in:
- Hard candy & confections such as cake pops, fudges, marshmallows, and brittle
- Most flavours are appropriate in chocolates (Click here for list)
- All baked goods such as cakes, cookies, muffins, frosting and fondant (use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per 1 cup butter or fat)
- Ice cream & frozen dairy
Apricot Flavour
Delight your senses with the sweet and tart flavour of Apricot. LorAnn’s Apricot candy oil can be used in any recipe calling for apricots. Try using Apricot flavour to boost the fruit taste in recipes calling for fresh apricots. Appropriate for use in chocolates and coatings, but may cause some thickening. Add liquified coconut oil, or cocoa butter to thin/smooth (typical use is ¼ to ½ teaspoon per pound).

How to use:
For applications where just a hint of flavour is needed, we suggest adding flavour by the drop until the desired intensity is achieved. When substituting the LorAnn flavours for extracts, use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon for 1 teaspoon of extract. 1 dram = 1 teaspoon (approx.) Some essential oils such as peppermint are particularly potent. We recommend starting with less and adding more to taste. Click here for the Suggested Usage Guide.
