The FINEX journey began with the search for healthier cooking. They wanted a pan that would provide a soulful cooking experience and look good while doing it. Through trial and error, they found that the quality of current cast iron cookware didn’t measure up. They became obsessed with the intentional design, quality and craftsmanship of antique cast iron cookware—and decided they would stop at nothing to build it on American soil. FINEX wanted to build functional, durable cookware that’s better than anything on the market today

Construction
Crafting a new class of quality. It takes FINEX longer to craft their cookware, but luckily for us, they don’t believe in shortcuts. FINEX are meticulous on quality and their cast iron cookware surpasses current standards. TWELVE. That’s how many pairs of hands it takes to craft FINEX Cookware, and about the same amount of hours. These pans are crafted by hand the hard way, and we sweat the details because every FINEX pan is guaranteed Good Forever. Cast with precision using temperatures exceeding 2000 degrees, FINEX carefully melts quality sourced iron to start their craft process. - Patented Octagonal Multi Pour The patented octagonal shape? It’s not just for looks. Eight sides for eight ways to get a bigger spatula behind the crust on cornbread, pizza and other baked goods. Six rounded corners serve as pour spouts and another opportunity to pour soups and stews without dripping on the table. The octagonal shape seals uptight and serves as evenly spaced steam vents with the matching lid. With the FINEX cast iron lid, you get a flavour seal for simmering, braising or steaming your favourite foods. The shape also makes it easier to squeeze a couple of skillets into a crowded oven as they line up better with each other than rounded skillets
- Ergonomic Speed-Cool Spring Handle Wound from 300 series stainless steel rod stock and hand-polished to a high lustre, FINEX ergonomically designed spring handles stay cool longer, cool off quicker and feel better in the hand. Inspired by vintage wood stove door handles, they bring high-end fit and finish to a time-honoured design. Designed to temper heat and feel great while in use, no need for mitts when frying an egg.

LID DETAILS
- Basting Rings Dual rings on the underside of each lid collect steam that boils off and drips it evenly back onto your dish, avoiding the soggy edges and dry centre that can occur in some slow cooking.
- Inner Lip Heavy inner lip nests securely inside Skillet or Dutch Oven rim, locking in heat, moisture and flavour.
- Steam Vents Eight lid corners and eight Skillet or Dutch Oven corners match, sealing securely or opening eight evenly placed steam vents when the lid is rotated.
- Pre-Seasoning Ready to cook right out of the box, each FINEX lid comes pre-seasoned with 100% organic flaxseed oil to a non-stick, rust-resistant bronze finish that will patina and darken with use.
- Lid Knob Milled and hand polished to add eye-catching balance and allow for a secure grip, our lid knobs are made to match the skillets’ end caps.
- Rim Rests Only about a ten-thousandth of an inch high, our rim rests help keep lids from rattling – even at a boil.
