This double-sided diamond stone features 360 grit for coarse sharpening and 600 grit for fine honing.

The moulded base with storage and non-slip feet provide safety. Suitable for all household/sporting knives as well as tools.

Use Instructions

  1. Place the diamond plate on the non-slip base provided and ensure the whetstone is completely flat – this is very important!  Choose one of the available grits, depending on the condition of your knife or tool..
  2. Position the cutting edge over the diamond plate, maintaining an angle of 10°-30° between the blade and the sharpening surface. Move the blade using a back and forth motion, ensuring to keep even pressure on the blade.
  3. Oil or water can be used to lubricate the sharpening surface. Once a burr is reached on the edge of the entire blade, change sides and repeat the process 4/5 times each side until the burr is completely removed and the blade is razor-sharp.
  4. After use, clean the surface with a brush to remove any metal particle residue

Features:

  • Coarse 360 Grit: Used to repair badly damaged or extremely blunt knives or tools
  • Medium 600 Grit: Used to hone blades and remove any burrs created from the coarse sharpening process

CAUTION

Do not use a whetstone to sharpen serrated blades or scissors. To avoid knife damage, sharpen it by employing light pressure. Use the entire surface of the stone. so as to maintain evenness during sharpening. Avoid letting the whetstone fall or other similar impacts. Being associated to the use of knives, keep the whetstone out of the reach of children.
