Before First Use:
Before using for the first time, it’s a good idea to wash all the parts in hot water first.
Care Instructions:
- Handwash in warm water and dry thoroughly
- A mild detergent can be used to clean the stainless steel models and a liquid chrome polish can be used to keep the stainless steel looking new
- Periodically clean the inner sides of the percolator spout (column) in the top part of the pot, ensuring no build-up of coffee residues. This build-up can lead to reduced pressure and may affect the final taste profile of your coffee
- Do not reassemble until all parts are completely dry to avoid oxidation
- Bialetti stovetop espresso makers must not be put in the dishwasher
- It’s best to store all parts separately to allow air to circulate and dry parts before reassembling
- Take out the plunger.
- Spoon in your favourite coarsely ground coffee to the strength you desire, pour over hot (not boiling) water
- Replace the plunger, turning the lid to close off the spout
- Let the coffee brew for about 4 minutes then plunge
- Turn the lid to open the spout. Serve and enjoy
- To clean, remove the plunger and handwash the plunger and press in warm soapy water
