This holiday wreath does more than add a festive decoration to your home; it serves your guests a beautiful dessert, too! Easy to create, the individual leaf cookies form the wreath and the cookie bow tops it off to tie it all together
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon No Colour Almond Extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly spray pan cavities with vegetable pan spray.
Step 2
In large bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer at medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg and extracts; mix well. Combine flour and salt; add to butter mixture. Beat until well blended. Colour cookie dough.
Step 3
Press dough into cavities, filling 2/3 full.
Step 4
Bake 10-15 minutes.
Step 5
Cool in pan 10 minutes, remove cookies to cooling grid and cool completely. Turn pan over; lightly tap pan to remove cookies. Cool completely on cooling grid.
